Sari Ribbon
Darn Good Yarn's Sari Ribbon is handmade from vintage silk saris; Each hank includes 50 yards/100 grams. These hanks are overdyed to create a singular "colorway" though there is still some variation since they are hand-dyed. This "yarn"/ribbon is great for accessories or adding some texture to knitted or crocheted projects. Sari Ribbon is sewn (and sometimes tied) together from cuttings off the sari factory floors, recycling tons of fiber waste in the process!

Darn Good Yarn focuses on sustainability by reclaiming fiber waste from the clothing industry abandoned in Nepal and India. DGY works with people in Nepal and India who otherwise live on less than $2 a day. The people DGY works with are not only supporting themselves, but their families as well. DGY strives to employ women as it has been shown they emphatically invest in their children's education, nutrition, and housing.
