Hats for Harris Kits

Patriotic Pussyhats! Yes, we can be feminist and patriotic! In fact, what is more patriotic, then working towards a world that upholds true equality/equity for all, reproductive justice, and bodily autonomy?!? And a hat made out of majority American sourced yarn from a small mom & pop shop/Local Yarn Store?

This kit includes yarn needed to knit the worsted weight version of Joy Macdonell's "Hats for Harris: Patriotic Hat" found for free on Ravelry here. The designer has a video tutorial for making the hat which can be found here.

We are in the process of testing the crochet version but cannot yet commit that this is enough yarn for that version of the Patriotic Hat. See the Makers for Kamala Collection page for other yarn ideas you can choose from our store that would easily make the knit or crochet version (all full 100 gram skeins of yarn).

Kit includes:

• 10 grams Shepherd's Wool (American wool) in RED
• 25 grams Cliffs of Moher (wool from Ireland & New Zealand) in WHITE
• 50 grams Brown Sheep NatureSpun (American wool) in BLUE
• All yarn is handwash wool: Hand wash with a wool wash in tepid water and lay flat to dry.

Sample pictured knit on US 8 needles. FYI: for my hat, I used long tail cast on and did 3 needle bind off on reverse side (instead of grafting as suggested in written pattern). I also accidentally did 4 rows each of the white and red stripes and did my yarn amounts based on that so should give a little extra cushion.
